Previous Legal Career

I attained a bachelor’s degree in Law from University College London, and proceeded to study legal practice at Inns of Court School of Law. My legal career in the City spans over a decade.  I worked for two years at global law firm Mayer Brown LLP, then went on to train and qualify as a Solicitor at U.S. law firm O’Melveny & Myers LLP, having worked in their London and Brussels offices. Following admission as a Solicitor of the Supreme Courts of England & Wales, I worked in-house at CSR plc, a FTSE 250 technology company, and subsequently joined U.S. law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP’s London office.  Working for 6 years in the firm’s pre-eminent Private Funds practice (ranked #1 by Chambers and Partners in the U.S., U.K., Asia-Pacific and globally), I have advised on the establishment and operation of a wide range of private investment funds, including private equity, infrastructure, real estate and debt funds, in addition to a broad range of ongoing fund advisory matters for numerous prominent private equity clients.  I have represented various sponsors in their multi-billion dollar fundraisings, ranking amongst the largest private equity funds raised at their time globally.  I went on to lead the Private Funds Secondaries team at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP’s London office for two years.

Career as a Notary Public

I am a qualified Notary Public, having successfully completed the 2 year Notarial Practice qualification at University College London. I now manage my notarial practice from my office in Buckhurst Hill, Essex, however, I operate across the City, the West End and Greater London, in addition to serving corporate clients throughout Essex, Hertfordshire and Cambridge. My background as an experienced City Solicitor enables me to deliver first class client service, and I have a firm understanding of the needs of my clients. I appreciate that time is often of the essence and I offer same-day appointments and operate during evenings and weekends to help my clients achieve their deadlines.  I pride myself on putting my clients first and building lasting relationships.
